Draw‑out circuit breaker with sentinel trigger 42 kA 1000 A 3P HW1N310DB
Withdrawable air circuit breaker with Sentinel trip unit, 1000 A, 3P
This device is a withdrawable air circuit breaker with a rated continuous current of 1000 A, designed for use in low‑voltage switchgear where high breaking capacity and easy access to internal components are required. It is intended as part of the hw+ system, meaning it operates together with an external Sentinel trip unit – it has no built‑in protection but is ready for external mounting.
A breaking capacity of 42 kA at 400 V allows it to safely interrupt circuits during high‑level faults – safe operation is confirmed by compliance with PN-EN 60947-2:2018. The rated operating voltage is 440 V to 690 V, making it suitable for industrial and commercial installations with higher voltages.
Each pole has separate terminals that are connected via an independent housing section – this solution simplifies installation and service, as the whole device does not need to be dismantled to reach the contacts. The draw‑out construction provides easy access to the interior without disconnecting the supply conductors – the installer can pull the entire unit out and work on it on a bench.
An integrated trip indicator shows the device status – closed or open – without opening the enclosure. This adds an extra layer of safety and quick diagnostics. Four auxiliary change‑over contacts are available for connecting signalling or control interfaces – they can be used, for example, to signal the breaker status in a SCADA system or control panel.
IP2X protection provides basic protection against accidental contact with live parts – it does not protect against dust or water but meets the requirements for indoor switchgear. There is no provision for DIN‑rail mounting – the device is intended for installation in switchgear cabinets with appropriate brackets or supporting structures.
An optional motor drive allows remote operation (opening/closing), useful in automation systems or where access to the device is limited. Closing response time is 45 ms – fast enough for most industrial applications.
Total power loss at rated current is about 110 W – a known and predictable value for cabinet cooling design. Internal resistance below 50 µΩ minimizes thermal losses and maintains voltage stability under load.
There is no built‑in protection against earth‑fault or undervoltage – these functions must be provided by an external unit (e.g., a Sentinel trip unit). The package does not include any protection devices – it is solely an execution element.
Compliance with PN-EN 60947-2 and IEC 63000 guarantees safety and the possibility of installation certification.
