Withdrawable air circuit breaker with Sentinel trip unit, 1000 A, 4P
This device is a withdrawable air circuit breaker with a rated current of 1000 A and a four‑pole construction, designed for use in installations with high short‑circuit capacity. Its main function is the safe making and breaking of circuits during faults, as well as allowing rapid replacement without disconnecting the conductors.
The built‑in Sentinel trip unit enables precise response to overloads and short circuits — however, it does not include built‑in protection against ground‑fault or an undervoltage trip. External protective modules must be connected if such functions are required.
A short‑circuit rating of 42 kA at 400 V makes the device suitable for installation in distribution points where a high fault level is expected — e.g., in power supply centers of commercial or industrial buildings. The rated operating voltage is up to 690 V, allowing use in both 400 V systems and higher‑voltage networks.
Mounting is not performed on a DIN rail — the main circuit connections are made through a separate part of the enclosure, which simplifies service and replacement. The device features a trip indicator that allows quick assessment of the operating state without opening the enclosure — useful for both the installer during diagnosis and maintenance personnel.
Four auxiliary switching contacts enable integration with control and signalling systems — e.g., to indicate closed or fault status. There are no auxiliary breaking contacts nor additional make contacts.
The IP2X protection class guarantees only protection against accidental contact with live parts by finger — it does not protect against dust or water. Therefore, installation requires placement in an enclosure or cabinet with an appropriate IP rating.
An optional motor drive allows remote operation — but it is not supplied in the kit. It requires the separate purchase of a drive module and its configuration.
The internal resistance value (50 µΩ) and power loss (110.2 W at Iu) indicate low energy losses during normal operation — resulting in lower operating costs and reduced heating of the contacts.
Compliant with PN-EN 60947-2 and equipped with EU and UKCA declarations of conformity — meets the normative requirements for low‑voltage equipment.
