Withdrawable air circuit breaker with Sentinel trip unit
This device is a four‑pole air circuit breaker with a rated current of 1250 A, designed for use in installations requiring high safety and reliability. Its withdrawable construction allows safe and rapid replacement without disconnecting conductors – the installer can pull the entire unit out of the enclosure for service or replacement while maintaining full circuit isolation.
The built‑in trip indicator provides immediate visual information on the device’s status – whether it is closed or tripped. This simplifies diagnostics and enhances safety during circuit work. There is no built‑in over‑current or over‑voltage protection – the Sentinel trip unit is an external component that must be installed separately. This offers flexibility: the protection characteristic can be matched to the specific load, e.g., motors, transformers, or systems with high inrush currents.
The main circuit connections are not fixed – they are linked via a separate part of the enclosure. This means installation requires precise alignment of the connection module, but also enables easy upgrading or changing of the connection type (e.g., from rigid conductors to cables). Ground‑fault protection is not available in this version – if protection against earth‑fault insulation damage is needed, an appropriate external module must be added.
The short‑circuit breaking capacity at 400 V is 42 kA – sufficient for most industrial and commercial switchgear. The device complies with the PN-EN 60947-2 standard and carries EU and UKCA conformity certificates. An IP2X protection class provides basic protection against accidental contact with live parts – it is not intended for installation in moist or dirty environments without an additional enclosure.
An optional motorized drive allows remote operation (opening/closing) – ideal for automation systems or where access to the device is limited. DIN‑rail mounting is not possible – the device requires a permanent installation in a specialized cassette‑type enclosure.
Note: this breaker does not operate independently. It is part of a system – its function depends on a correctly installed Sentinel trip unit and properly selected connections. Installation requires familiarity with the Hager manual (PL_6LE007331A), and its mechanical life (25 000 cycles) guarantees long‑term reliability.
