Withdrawable air circuit breaker with Sentinel trip unit, 630 A, 3P
This device is a withdrawable air circuit breaker designed for use in medium‑ and high‑load switchgear where reliable short‑circuit and overload protection is required. Its construction allows safe and quick replacement without disconnecting conductors – simply pull the block out of the main circuit, which greatly reduces service time and minimizes the risk of installation errors.
The built‑in trip indicator provides immediate visual status of the device – there is no need to open the enclosure to check whether the breaker is in the “on” or “off” position. This is especially convenient for installers working in dark or hard‑to‑reach locations.
A rated breaking capacity of 42 kA at 400 V means the device can safely interrupt very high fault currents typical of industrial installations or large commercial facilities. The rated current of 630 A makes it suitable for protecting main switchgear circuits, e.g., those feeding transformers, motors, or distribution panels.
Main circuit connections are not fixed – they are joined via a separate housing part. This means they can be changed or mounted on different types of busbars or conductors without replacing the entire breaker. In practice: if you modify the connection scheme, you do not need to purchase a new device.
Four auxiliary switching contacts are standard – they allow integration with control and signalling systems (e.g., trip status indication, interlock blocking). No additional auxiliary modules are required for basic control functions.
The IP2X protection rating provides basic protection against accidental contact with live parts – sufficient for installations inside switchgear cabinets. It is not intended for outdoor or humid environments.
An optional motorised drive (not installed as standard) enables remote operation – ideal for building automation or industrial control systems. DIN‑rail mounting is not supported – the device is intended for fixed mounting in cabinets with appropriate brackets.
A rated voltage range of 440 V to 690 V allows use in both 400 V and 690 V systems common to large industrial machines. Mechanical endurance of 25 000 cycles and electrical endurance of 6 000 cycles guarantee long‑term operation even with frequent manual operations.
There is no built‑in ground‑fault protection or over‑voltage release – these functions must be provided by external equipment or an additional trip unit. This is not an “all‑in‑one” device, but a deliberate solution that lets you tailor protection exactly to the needs of the installation.
