Draw-out circuit breaker with sentinel trip unit 42 kA 800 A 4P HW1N408DB
Pull-out air circuit breaker with Sentinel trip unit, 800 A, 4P
This device is a draw‑out air circuit breaker with a rated continuous current of 800 A, designed for use in distribution installations with voltages up to 690 V. Its construction enables safe and quick replacement without disconnecting cables – the whole unit slides out on guides, facilitating service and maintenance.
The integrated trip indicator provides immediate visual status verification – no need to open the enclosure to see whether it is on or off. This is especially useful for fault diagnosis or system inspection.
Four poles are protected and housed in a single enclosure. Main circuit connections are not mounted directly to the enclosure – they require a separate enclosure part (cassette), giving flexibility during installation and allowing easy replacement of the unit without new wiring. The draw‑out design, however, does not permit DIN‑rail mounting – the device is intended for stationary installation in distribution cabinets.
The rated short‑circuit making capacity is 42 kA at 400 V AC – sufficient for most medium and large industrial installations where fault currents are high. IP2X protection class provides basic protection against accidental contact with live parts, but does not protect against dust or water – it is not suitable for outdoor or humid environments.
The unit does not include over‑current protection or an undervoltage trip – it must be equipped with an additional Sentinel trip unit (sold separately), which determines the time‑current characteristic and type of protection. Optionally, a motor drive for remote operation can be added – but it is not built in.
Four auxiliary switching contacts are integrated – they allow status indication (on/off) or control of other system components, e.g., alarms or SCADA interfaces. There are no auxiliary make‑or‑break contacts.
Internal resistance is 50 µΩ – resulting in low power loss (64.6 W at full load), thus reduced heating and higher energy efficiency. Closing response time is 45 ms – fast operation that minimizes downtime during automatic re‑closing.
There is no built‑in earth‑fault protection. If required, it must be provided by external equipment or a suitably configured Sentinel trip unit.
Pole arrangement: 4P4D N:0/50/100/200% — meaning the neutral can be non‑conductive (N=0), conductive and protected (N=100%), or even conductive and switchable (N=200%). This offers flexibility for various TN-S or TT network configurations.
Compliant with PN-EN 60947-2 – meets European standards for low‑voltage circuit breakers.
