Housing for 4‑pole withdrawable circuit breaker HW1C4EH
The housing is designed exclusively for use with air circuit breakers of the HW1 series with a rated current of 1600 A and 4 poles. Its construction enables safe and quick installation and replacement of the breaker in switchgear systems, without the need to disconnect wires from the busbars.
All main connections are made via busbar connection – the housing acts as a busbar adapter, eliminating the need for manual wiring. The installer does not have to disconnect or reconnect wires when replacing the device – simply pull out the breaker, replace it with a new one and push it back in. This significantly reduces service time and minimizes the risk of error during reconnection.
The housing is compatible only with the withdrawable version of the HW1 breaker – it does not support HW2 or HW4 models. Its design takes into account standard dimensions and position‑locking mechanisms (connected/tested/withdrawn), allowing safe operation in industrial conditions. An additional lock of the housing position with a padlock or cylinder lock is possible – which is important for maintenance work or systems requiring safety locking.
Compliant with IEC/EN 60947-2 and PN-EN 60947-2, the housing has no protective functions of its own – it serves solely as a mechanical and electrical interface between the busbar and the breaker. It contains no electronic components, sensors or indicator contacts – its task is only to provide stable current transfer and ensure the physical stability of the device.
Installation is simple: the housing is permanently mounted in the switchgear cabinet, and the breaker is inserted into it like in guides. Position indicators on the front panel of the housing allow quick visual inspection of the device status without opening the enclosure. Upper and lower terminals are designed for direct connection to the busbars – there is no need for additional clamps or wires.
It is not suitable for installations in low‑rated‑current systems (below 400 A) nor for 3‑pole breakers – it is dedicated exclusively to 4‑pole HW1 models with a current of 1600 A.
