This device is a draw‑out air circuit breaker with a rated continuous current of 1000 A and a short‑circuit breaking capacity of 55 kA at 400 V. It is designed for installation in medium‑ and high‑power switchgear where reliability and the ability to replace the unit quickly without disconnecting cables are required.
The built‑in Sentinel trip unit allows precise control of the response time to overloads and short circuits – however, it does not include built‑in protection against earth faults or an undervoltage trip. It functions solely as a protective element according to the settings of an external trip unit that must be installed separately.
All four poles are protected, and the pole arrangement complies with the 4P4D standard (N: 0 / 50 / 100 / 200 %). The main circuit connections are not fixed – they are made via a separate housing part, facilitating unit replacement without disconnecting the cables. DIN‑rail mounting is not supported – the device requires permanent mounting in a switchgear enclosure.
A useful feature is the trip indicator – after protection activation, its position clearly shows that the breaker has been opened due to a fault. High mechanical endurance (25 000 cycles) and electrical endurance (6 000 cycles) make the device suitable for frequent manual or automatic operations.
IP2X protection provides basic protection against contact with live parts – it does not protect against dust or water. Insulation voltage is 1000 V, and dielectric withstand voltage is 12 kV. Total power loss at rated current is about 110 W – a low value for a device of this rating.
A built‑in motor drive is not available as standard but can be added optionally. The same applies to other accessories: additional trip units, rated plugs, or interlocks. The device itself contains no protection – it must be used together with an external Sentinel module.
Closing response time is 45 ms – sufficient for most industrial applications. Internal resistance is 50 µΩ, minimizing thermal losses at high currents.
Installation on TH or DIN rails is not required – the construction is intended for stationary switchgear enclosures. All technical data comply with PN-EN 60947-2 and IEC 60947‑2.
