Draw-out circuit breaker with Sentinel trip unit 55 kA 630 A 3P HW1M306DB
Pull‑out circuit breaker with sentinel trip unit – 630 A, 3P, 55 kA
This is an air circuit breaker with high breaking capacity, designed for industrial installations where reliable protection at high currents and rapid service are required. Its pull‑out construction allows the entire module to be removed from the enclosure without disconnecting the conductors – eliminating the risk of error during replacement and reducing downtime.
The short‑circuit making capacity of 55 kA at 400 V (as confirmed by the manufacturer’s documentation) means the device can safely interrupt the circuit even under extreme fault conditions – e.g., near a transformer or in long low‑impedance cables. Rated current is 630 A with a voltage range up to 690 V, making it suitable for medium‑ and high‑power supply systems.
Main circuit connections are not fixed – they are made via a separate enclosure part. This solution eases installation in confined spaces and allows flexible wiring from different directions without having to reconfigure the entire cabinet.
Four auxiliary switching contacts are provided – for signalling breaker status (on/off) or integration with automation and SCADA systems. There are no make‑before‑break contacts nor auxiliary closing contacts, so they cannot be used for functions other than signal switching.
Trip indicator is built‑in – clearly showing when the breaker has been opened by the trip unit or manually. It is not an “operating status” indicator but a trip‑status indicator – meaning the installer does not have to guess whether the device is operating or has been intentionally opened; a glance at the indicator suffices.
There is no built‑in motor drive, but it can be added as an option – if remote control or automatic opening/closing is required. It cannot be mounted on a DIN rail – the design requires a fixed mounting base. Lack of integrated earth‑fault protection means that if this function is needed, it must be added with an external relay.
IP2X protection rating provides basic protection against accidental contact with live parts by a finger or a tool larger than 12 mm – meeting safety requirements for distribution cabinets in industrial environments.
In practice: the installer mounts it as a module in a cabinet, connects the conductors to the separate connection enclosure, and slides the assembly into the frame. In case of a fault – the module can simply be removed and replaced. No cable stripping is required. The trip indicator precisely shows what occurred – whether it was a manual opening or a trip.
