Pull-out circuit breaker with Sentinel trip unit – 800 A, 4P, 55 kA

This device is a pull-out air circuit breaker with a rated continuous current of 800 A, intended for protecting circuits in installations up to 690 V. Its construction allows easy access to internal components without dismantling the whole device – which significantly speeds up service and replacement.

The built‑in Sentinel trip unit provides selective overload and short‑circuit protection. The rated short‑circuit making capacity is 55 kA at 400 V, meeting the requirements for medium and large industrial facilities where high fault currents occur.

Each of the four poles has a separate terminal, which is connected via an individual housing part – this solution enables flexible mounting and easy wiring without needing access to the breaker interior during operation. All main contacts are also linked in the same way, maintaining structural consistency and safety.

In the standard version there is no built‑in ground‑fault protection or motorised drive – but optional motorised drive mounting provides flexibility for system automation. The pull‑out design does not require DIN‑rail mounting – the device is intended for installation in stationary switchgear cabinets.

An advantage is the off‑indicator, which clearly shows the device state – “on”, “off” or “pulled out”. This is a key safety feature for personnel during service or maintenance.

Four auxiliary changeover contacts (neither make nor break) allow signalling the breaker status in control systems – e.g., indicating “off” or “pulled out” can be used to lock other equipment or trigger an alarm.

The IP2X protection rating provides basic protection against accidental contact with live parts, but does not protect against dust or water – therefore the device should be installed in closed switchgear cabinets.

There is no built‑in over‑voltage protection nor integrated ground‑fault protection – if these functions are required, they must be added externally.

In practice: the installer can quickly pull out the entire device to inspect contacts, replace components or perform measurements – without disconnecting the supply conductors. The end user is assured that the system operates safely even under high loads – and the status indication eliminates the risk of assuming the device is off when it is not.
