Withdrawable air break disconnect 630A 3P – solution for industrial and commercial installations

This device functions as a main, safety and service disconnect, meaning it is used not only for manual circuit isolation but also provides safe access to the installation during service. Its withdrawable construction allows easy access to the contacts without removing the entire panel – the installer can pull the whole unit out of the enclosure to inspect or replace it while maintaining full circuit isolation.

Designed for front‑central and intermediate mounting, it fits standard distribution boards. It does not require a 4‑hole mounting frame – its bracket is already optimized for stability and quick installation. The IP2X protection rating on the front side provides basic protection against accidental contact with live parts, which is sufficient in closed panels.

The rated current is 630 A at a voltage up to 690 V AC, allowing it to handle large loads such as motors, heaters or HVAC systems. A short‑circuit rating of 55 kA (Icw) means the device can withstand fault currents without damage – it does not need to be replaced after a single incident. At 400 V it can operate continuously with a power rating up to 284 kW, matching typical industrial circuits.

It includes a built‑in motorized actuator – no external mechanism is needed for automatic opening or closing. Additionally, an optional voltage release and motorized drive enable system expansion for remote control or loss‑of‑voltage protection. Four auxiliary switching contacts allow status signalling (open/closed) without installing extra modules.

This is not an emergency stop or a reversing switch – it is a pure mechanical disconnect with optional automatic control. Its construction contains no make‑or‑break contacts, so it is not intended for logical signalling, only for control and monitoring via the auxiliary contacts.

Compliant with PN-EN, 60947-3, it carries EU and UKCA certification. It operates in a temperature range from ‑25 °C to +70 °C, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments as well as installations in unheated rooms.

Installation is straightforward: after mounting the unit in the panel and connecting the conductors, simply close the latching mechanism – it provides a physical lock in the closed position, preventing accidental opening during operation.
