Stationary air disconnect switch 630A 3P – intended for permanent installation in distribution boards

This device functions as a main disconnect, safety disconnect, and maintenance disconnect – thus fulfilling all key safety functions in low‑voltage installations. It is not an emergency stop, but provides physical disconnection of the circuit, which is required during maintenance or fault conditions. Its design allows front‑central mounting as well as intermediate mounting – flexibility that eases integration into existing panels without structural modifications.

The rated continuous current is 630 A at a voltage up to 690 V AC, and it can withstand short‑time currents up to 55 kA (1 s). This means it can safely handle circuits with high inrush currents – e.g., motors, heaters, or HVAC systems – without risk of damage from surges. Rated power at 400 V is 284 kW, confirming its suitability for medium and large industrial installations.

A latching mechanism prevents accidental closing during service work – an important safety feature for the installer. The device includes a built‑in motorised actuator, allowing remote control (e.g., from automation), and an optional voltage trigger provides additional protection against voltage drops. It has no normally closed or normally open auxiliary contacts, but it does feature 4 auxiliary changeover contacts – ideal for state signalling (open/closed) in SCADA systems or control panels.

Connection of the main contacts is performed via busbar connection – there are no screw terminals. This means installation requires a properly prepared busbar and precise alignment. It is not suitable for 4‑hole panel mounting, but is designed for installation in distribution boards – the standard application in switchgear centers.

IP2X protection on the front face provides basic protection against accidental contact with live parts – sufficient for indoor panels in controlled environments. Insulation voltage Ui = 1000 V and impulse voltage Uimp = 12 kV add a safety margin for over‑voltage events.

All of this operates within a temperature range of –25 °C to +70 °C – proven for industrial and warehouse conditions. The device complies with the PN-EN standard (60947-3) and carries EU and UKCA Declaration of Conformity.

There is no DC supply option nor normally closed/open auxiliary contacts, but accessories are available: rising‑voltage triggers, closing coils, and terminals – which can be added according to system requirements.
