Stationary air disconnect switch 630A 4P – solution for industrial and commercial installations

This device is a fixed, open main disconnect intended for mounting in distribution panels. It is designed as a safety and maintenance element – it is not an emergency stop, but provides physical circuit isolation during service or fault conditions. Its construction allows front‑centered as well as intermediate mounting, offering flexibility when integrating with existing systems.

Operation at up to 690 V AC and a continuous current of 630 A makes it suitable for high‑power loads such as motors, heaters, or HVAC systems. An I_cw rating of 55 kA for 1 s means the device can withstand short‑duration fault currents without damage – essential in installations with high short‑circuit potential.

The locking mechanism prevents accidental closing during service work – a safety feature and a requirement for installers following LOTO procedures. The busbar connection enables quick and safe attachment to busbars, eliminating the need for cables or screw terminals.

An integrated motorized actuator allows remote operation – no manual lever movement is required. An optional voltage release further enhances control: automatic tripping can be configured for voltage drops below set thresholds. Four auxiliary changeover contacts provide state signalling (open/closed) for automation or SCADA systems.

An IP2X protection rating on the front panel provides basic protection against contact with live parts – sufficient for closed panels but not for humid or dusty environments. Insulation rating of 1000 V and impulse withstand up to 12 kV add safety when operating in networks with high surge voltages.

Operating temperature range is –25 °C to +70 °C – suitable for harsh industrial conditions as well as installations in unheated spaces. The device complies with IEC 60947-3 and meets RoHS and REACH requirements.

Mounting in 4‑hole panels is not supported – this is a stationary unit, permanently fixed. There is no option for reverse‑switch or emergency‑stop mounting. It does not have normally open or normally closed auxiliary contacts – all four contacts are changeover.
