Draw‑out air circuit breaker with Sentinel trip unit
This device is an air circuit breaker with high breaking capacity, designed for use in medium‑ and high‑load switchgear. Its draw‑out construction allows safe and quick replacements without disconnecting the cables – the installer can pull the entire unit out of the enclosure for service or replacement, without exposure to voltage.
The built‑in trip indicator provides immediate visual information on the device status – whether it is on or off. This not only facilitates diagnosis but also enhances safety when working on the circuit. All three poles are protected, and their 3P3D arrangement guarantees even load distribution and consistent operation.
Rated current 1600 A and breaking capacity 66 kA at 400 V mean the device can handle large fault currents typical of industrial or infrastructure installations – e.g., in main building switchgear, data centers or manufacturing plants. Note: this value refers to the ultimate breaking capacity (Icu), not the service breaking capacity (Ics), which at 400 V is 55 kA – indicating the breaker is proven for both extreme faults and normal operating conditions.
Power supply is AC only – no DC connection possible. There is no built‑in motor drive, but it is available as an option – allowing remote control or system automation. Closing response time is about 45–50 ms – fast enough to prevent damage during brief disturbances.
IP2X protection rating provides only finger protection – it does not protect against dust or water. This is typical for devices mounted in closed enclosures where the environment is controlled. Terminals are not directly mounted to the enclosure – they require a separate enclosure part (e.g., a terminal block), offering mounting flexibility and easier integration with other system components.
The kit does not include a protective device – it must be selected separately (e.g., Sentinel trip unit). It has four auxiliary changeover contacts – ideal for status signaling (on/off) or integration with SCADA/automation systems. The absence of normally open and normally closed auxiliary contacts means the configuration focuses on status indication rather than external circuit control.
Compliant with PN-EN-60947-2, 60947-2, PN‑EN‑60947‑2, and IEC 60947‑2. Mechanical endurance: up to 30 000 cycles (per ETIM) or 25 000 (per Hager) – corresponding to many years of operation under intensive conditions. Power loss at rated current is approximately 358.6 W – a known and predictable value for designing cooling and power distribution in cabinets.
It is not mounted on a DIN TH rail – it requires a dedicated cabinet or mounting frame. There is no built‑in undervoltage trip or earth‑fault protection – these functions must be added via additional modules or other system devices.
Compliant with RoHS and REACH – contains no hazardous substances.
