Motor drive for automatic circuit breakers

The drive operates on AC voltage 48–60 V, at frequencies of 50 Hz or 60 Hz – meaning it is compatible with most European and global power systems. No additional voltage conversion is required if the installation uses standard AC within this range.

Rated current is 9.6 A – sufficient for safe and stable spring charging in HW1 series automatic circuit breakers, even during multiple operating cycles. Insulation voltage is 450 V and it can withstand impulse voltages up to 6000 V, providing resistance to surges and network disturbances, which is important in circuits with motors or other inductive loads.

Operating temperature range from –25 °C to +70 °C allows installation both in heated rooms and in external distribution cabinets – without risk of damage from cold or overheating. No special moisture protection or additional cooling is required.

It functions solely as a control element – it is not an end device but an integral part of the automatic circuit breaker system. Its purpose: to provide the spring mechanism with enough energy for rapid and reliable tripping in case of a fault. It has no measuring or signaling functions.

Compliant with EU and UKCA standards – conformity declaration documents are available to the installer as part of the technical documentation. Installation is performed only during service or unit replacement in the HW1 breaker – it is not a component for independent connection to the mains.
