Power selector switch I-0-II 4P 1250A – solution for safe and continuous power flow

This device is not just a switch – it is a key element of a power system where security during load switching and clear circuit isolation are required. Designed as a main, service and safety disconnect, it allows safe switching between two power sources – e.g., mains and generator – without disconnecting the entire circuit.

It has four poles and is suitable for low‑voltage systems from 380 V to 690 V AC, with a continuous current of 1250 A. It is not an emergency stop – it does not operate as a “NOT-AUS”, but as a controlled disconnect that requires manual intervention. That means it does not detect overloads or short circuits – but it provides a physical, visible and reliable break in the circuit when you need it.

Its long rotating handle in black enables easy and safe operation even when installed in hard‑to‑reach locations. The locking mechanism prevents accidental switching – especially important during service or renovation work when you must be sure the circuit is isolated.

Construction and mounting

The device is fixedly mounted – it is not installed in panels with front or central openings. Instead, it is mounted on a mounting plate, giving flexibility in layout. It is intended for installation in distribution boards – but not as an embedded module, rather as a unit secured to the plate.

Cable clamps allow connection of conductors with a cross‑section up to 4 × 185 mm², meeting the needs of large industrial or commercial installations. There are no auxiliary contacts – neither make nor break – so it does not support signalling or remote control. The device functions only as a disconnect: “on”, “off”, “switched”.

The IP00 protection class means no protection against touch or objects. This is not a device for outdoor or humid locations. Its function is electrical and mechanical isolation – not protection against dust or water. All of this requires proper shielding by the panel enclosure.
