Auxiliary contact for MCB and RCBO circuit breakers – reliable circuit status indication

This auxiliary contact, designed to work with miniature circuit breakers (MCB) and residual current circuit breakers (RCBO), provides additional signaling and control functions. It allows monitoring of the circuit status, informing about tripping caused by overload, short circuit, residual current or manual disconnection of the circuit breaker. This is particularly useful in automation systems, remote control and applications requiring precise circuit status control.

Functionality and application

The contact has one normally open contact (1NO) and one normally closed contact (1NC), allowing flexible use in various configurations. It can be used for alarm signaling, controlling other devices or integration with monitoring systems. Thanks to its compact size (0.5 module width) it is easy to mount in a standard distribution board. The rated current of 6A makes it suitable for most standard home and commercial applications.

Construction features and mounting

The auxiliary contact is mounted on a DIN rail using a spring clip, ensuring quick and secure mounting. Connection of wires is done using screw terminals, accepting wire cross-sections from 6 mm² (flexible) to 10 mm² (rigid). Mechanical endurance of 12000 cycles and electrical endurance of 6000 cycles guarantees long-lasting and reliable operation in various environmental conditions – from -25°C to +60°C. The materials used ensure resistance to external factors and stability of parameters in a wide range of storage temperatures (-40°C to +80°C).
