The Heat Decor HD-G heating foil set with a power of 80 W/m² is a complete underfloor heating system designed for installation under floating floors. The product works well both as a primary heat source in a room and as additional comfort heating throughout the entire house or apartment.

The heating foil has been tested by numerous flooring manufacturers. Thanks to this, you maintain a full warranty on the floor when using Heat Decor heating systems.

Application and compatibility with floor types

The system is dedicated to installation directly under the most popular types of floating floors:

• Laminate panels - most common application with the recommended HD-XPS300 insulation underlay
• SPC vinyl panels (with mineral core) - requires special HD-XPS700 underlay
• Engineered wood planks - installed with HD-XPS300 insulation underlay

The entire construction is only 5.74 mm in height and replaces the standard underlay for panels. The foil distributes gentle heat evenly through infrared radiation directly to people, walls, and objects in the room.

In cases where the system is to be the sole heat source in a room, the foil should cover a minimum of 70% of the floor area. However, it must not be located under fixed built-in structures directly attached to the floor.

Construction and materials ensuring durability

The heating foil utilizes patented technology developed by Heat Decor engineers:

• Carbon-h HD - a carbon heating matrix ensuring trouble-free operation for decades
• Multi-layer HD - a multi-layer arrangement of the purest PET components guaranteeing the stability of the entire system
• Safe cut HD - a safe cutting system every 12.5 cm allowing for precise fitting to the shape of the room
• Silver ladder HD - an electrical connection using silver paste in a ladder technology guaranteeing stable operation

The foil thickness is only 0.338 mm, providing an optimal balance between durability and installation flexibility. The IPX7 protection rating guarantees resistance to moisture and the possibility of installation in various environmental conditions.

Power cables with double insulation provide greater safety for the entire installation and the user. Improved BX-type connectors do not have traditional "teeth" on both sides, which translates to a more stable connection of the connector to the foil through a significantly larger contact surface.

Operating parameters and operating conditions

The heating power of 80 W/m² is optimal for new buildings with good thermal insulation in accordance with WT 2021. The maximum floor surface temperature is approximately 32°C, which ensures thermal comfort while maintaining a healthy microclimate in the room.

The system can also be used in buildings with weaker thermal insulation (e.g., tenement houses), where a higher power (140 W/m²) is recommended, or in passive buildings requiring lower power (60 W/m²). In new buildings, there are no contraindications to installing foil with a higher power than the recommended minimum.

The supply voltage is standardly 220-240V. The system requires the mandatory use of a residual current device (RCD) to ensure full operational safety. Installation can be carried out independently according to the attached step-by-step instructions, but the final connection to the electrical installation must be performed by a licensed electrician.

The product warranty is up to 10 years, which testifies to the high quality of workmanship and the durability of the materials used to produce the heating foil.
