Flexible cable NSHTÖU 12G1.5 mm² is a robust solution designed for applications requiring high mechanical strength and resistance to external factors. This black control and power cable, made of rubber, is particularly recommended for cable reels, where frequent winding and unwinding place high demands on its durability. It complies with DIN VDE 0250 part 814, guaranteeing its safety and reliability.

Construction and properties

This cable features a solid construction designed for intensive use. It has 12 cores with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², providing adequate current carrying capacity for various applications. Core insulation is made of GI1 rubber, compliant with DIN VDE 0207 part 20, and core identification is carried out according to DIN VDE 0293-308 – from 6 cores, black cores with white numbering are used. The cores are twisted around a core element with a lay, additionally secured with a textile tape and a textile braid in the inner sheath, which increases resistance to twisting and mechanical damage. The whole is surrounded by a neoprene outer sheath (5GM2 according to DIN VDE 0207 part 21), which provides excellent resistance to weather conditions, ozone, UV radiation, oils, acids and other chemicals.

Applications and parameters

The NSHTÖU cable finds wide application in construction, mines, cranes, conveyors and hoists. It works perfectly in outdoor installations as well as in dry, wet and damp rooms. Thanks to its flexibility and durability, it can be used in crane equipment and wherever high resistance to mechanical loads and weather conditions is required.

This cable is designed and manufactured for continuous operation with frequent winding and unwinding – the permissible winding speed is a maximum of 120 m/min. Thanks to the use of high-quality materials and careful construction, the NSHTÖU cable guarantees safe and reliable operation in demanding industrial and construction conditions. The rated voltage is 1000/600 V, the rated core cross-section is 1.5 mm², and the operating temperature range (flexible) is -35°C to +70°C (stationary -40°C to +70°C). The cable has a fire reaction class of Eca (according to EN 13501-6), an insulation resistance of min. 10 MOhm x km and a minimum bending radius of 7.5 x Ø cable.
