Control and power cable for demanding applications
This black, rubber cable NSHTÖU 4G4 mm² is a robust solution for power supply and control, especially in applications requiring frequent winding and unwinding from drums. Using it in cranes, conveyors, jib cranes or construction guarantees reliability and safety. The cable is designed to operate in harsh conditions – both indoors and outdoors, as well as in wet and humid environments.
Construction and properties
The NSHTOU cable is distinguished by its exceptional mechanical strength and resistance to external factors. Its construction is based on four cores with a cross-section of 4 mm², insulated with GI1 rubber. The cores are twisted around a core element with a spacer, which ensures stability and prevents the cable from twisting. The whole is surrounded by a textile braid for reinforcement and an outer coating of polychloroprene (neoprene), which is characterized by high resistance to:
- low temperatures – flexibility down to -35°C, stationary to -40°C
- ozone and UV radiation
- oils, acids, greases and fuels
- abrasion and mechanical damage
Thanks to these properties, the cable maintains its parameters even in extreme working conditions. In addition, it meets the DIN VDE 0250 part 814 standard, confirming its high quality and safety.
Application and compliance with standards
The NSHTÖU cable is ideal for anywhere a flexible cable with high resistance to longitudinal loads is needed. It will work in:

It meets the requirements of EN 13501-6 standard in terms of reaction to fire classification – Eca. The rated voltage is 600/1000 V, and the insulation resistance is at least 10 MOhm x km. The cable has a protective conductor and core identification according to DIN VDE 0293 (colored up to 5 cores, black with white numbering from 6 cores). Designed for continuous movement (multiple winding and unwinding) with an allowable winding speed of up to 120 m/min.
