This black, 12-core NSHTÖU 2.5 mm² cable is the ideal solution for applications requiring high mechanical strength and resistance to harsh conditions. Construction and properties – the key to versatility

The NSHTÖU cable is distinguished by its solid construction, which ensures reliability in demanding conditions. Made of high-quality materials, it meets the DIN VDE 0250 part 814 standard. Stranded conductors around a core with a lay length, protected by a textile braid and an outer polychloroprene rubber (neoprene) coating, provide exceptional resistance to:

• Atmospheric factors: The cable can be used both indoors and outdoors, in dry, wet and humid environments.
• Chemical substances: The neoprene coating protects against the action of oils, acids, greases, fuels and solvents.
• Low temperatures: The cable remains flexible even at -35°C (flexible) or -40°C (stationary).
• Mechanical loads: The cable construction allows for repeated winding and unwinding from the drum without loss of properties. Permissible winding speed is max. 120 m/min.

Additionally, the cable has conductor identification according to DIN VDE 0293-308, which facilitates installation and servicing.

Safety and compliance with standards

The NSHTÖU cable has been tested for fire behavior according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 and DIN EN 60332-1-2 (equivalent to DIN VDE 0472 part 804 test method B). It also has an oil resistance certificate according to DIN VDE 0473-811-404 and a CE marking confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. The rated voltage U/U0 is 600/1000 V and the fire reaction class is Eca. The rated conductor cross-section is 2.5 mm².
