Chain guide cable – reliability in harsh conditions
This shielded chain cable HELUKABEL SHIPFLEX 330 is designed for applications requiring high flexibility and resistance to external factors. It is ideal for chain guide systems, especially in marine, industrial environments and those exposed to contact with oils. The cable construction ensures reliable operation even in extreme conditions.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction, using stranded copper wire, class 6 (according to DIN VDE 0295), which guarantees high flexibility and mechanical strength. The cores are insulated with a special material, and their identification is done using colors (black with white numbering, yellow-green protective core). A screen made of tinned copper wires (coverage approx. 85%) minimizes electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable signal transmission. The outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) provides resistance to abrasion, oils, UV radiation and low temperatures.
Additionally, the cable meets strict safety standards: it is flame retardant (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1) and halogen-free (DIN VDE 0482 part 267 / DIN EN 50267-2-1 / IEC 60754-1). It is also resistant to weathering and UV radiation. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that hinder painting.
Key features and applications
- Mechanical strength: Construction with stranded class 6 wire provides high flexibility and resistance to bending, ideal for chain guides.
- Chemical resistance: PUR coating protects against the action of oils and lubricants, which is crucial in industrial environments.
- EMC shielding: Effectively reduces electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable signal transmission.
- Safety: Meets flame retardancy and halogen-free standards, increasing installation safety.
- Wide temperature range: Allows operation in the range of -40°C to +80°C (flexible and stationary).
- Marine application: Specifically designed for operation in harsh marine conditions, meeting strict industry standards.
- Rated voltage: Cable adapted to work at a voltage of up to 1000V (UL).
- Core cross-section: 0.25 mm², which corresponds to an approximate AWG24.
- Outer diameter: Approximately 5 mm makes it easy to install and route the cable in tight spaces.
This cable is an excellent choice for installers looking for a reliable solution for chain guide systems and for end users expecting high quality and durability of the cable in demanding industrial and marine applications.
