Coaxial cable FEP KOAX RG 178 B/U 40007
Coaxial cable for a wide range of applications
RG 178 B/U coaxial cable with FEP insulation is a versatile solution for high-frequency signal transmission. It is suitable for broadcasting and receiving installations, the computer industry, and industrial electronics. Thanks to its properties, including the ability to operate in the frequency range up to GHz, it finds application even in demanding environments.
This cable is characterized by a wave impedance of 50 Ohm, which ensures efficient signal transfer. The construction with a central conductor and a screen of silver-plated copper wires minimizes signal loss and interference. FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) insulation provides temperature resistance – from -55°C to +200°C – and chemical resistance. The weight of 1 meter of cable is only 0.008 kg, and the outer diameter is 1.8 mm, which facilitates installation and routing of cables in tight spaces.
Construction and materials
RG 178 B/U cable has been designed with reliability and durability in mind. The materials used do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting, which guarantees safety of use and compliance with environmental standards. The conductor is made of silver-plated CCS (copper-clad steel) wire, which improves conductivity and flexibility of the cable. Shielding is provided by a braid of silver-plated copper wires. FEP insulation provides excellent dielectric properties and resistance to external factors.
RG coaxial cables are manufactured in accordance with the US MIL-C-17 specification (RG/U: R=Radio, G=Guide, U-Utility), which confirms their high quality and reliability. A wide range of operating temperatures makes this cable suitable for various environmental conditions.
