This metered Y-CY-JB 4G120 cable is a versatile solution for applications in control, regulation, mechanical engineering, and electronics. It ensures effective transmission of signals and pulses without interference, thanks to the use of a dense shielding braid. The construction with PVC insulation guarantees high mechanical load capacity and flexibility, making it an ideal choice for dynamic applications.
This cable is particularly recommended where high resistance to electromagnetic interference (EMC) is required. To optimize EMC compatibility, it is recommended to ensure a comprehensive and extensive contact of the copper braid with the terminals – for example, by using appropriate cable glands. Complies with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
Construction and parameters
The Y-CY-JB 4G120 cable is designed for durability and reliability. It consists of:
- Unannealed copper strand, flexible multi-wire (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360 and IEC 60228), which ensures high flexibility and resistance to material fatigue during repeated bending.
- PVC Z 7225 insulation, which provides good electrical and mechanical insulation. The cores are color-coded according to the JB/OB color code for easy identification.
- Screen made of tinned copper wires, covering approximately 85% of the surface, effectively suppressing electromagnetic interference.
- Outer jacket made of special transparent PVC, providing protection against mechanical damage and environmental factors.
- Yellow-green protective core placed externally (from 3 cores), increasing safety of use.
Additionally, the cable is characterized by:
- Nominal core cross-section: 120 mm².
- Rated voltage: 500 V (up to 1.5 mm²) / 750 V (from 2.5 mm²).
- Temperature range: -15°C to +80°C (flexible) and -40°C to +80°C (stationary).
- Approximate outer diameter: 56.7 mm.
- Resistance to oils and chemicals. Materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.
