This halogen-free MEGAFLEX 500-C control and power cable is an ideal solution for a wide range of applications, from machine and device construction, through air conditioning systems, ship structures, to installations in renewable energy sources. It not only ensures effective power transmission but also a high level of safety thanks to the materials and construction used. The cable complies with many European and international standards, guaranteeing its quality and reliability.

Construction and properties

The MEGAFLEX 500-C cable is characterized by a careful construction that affects its unique properties. Made of stranded copper conductors (class 5), it provides flexibility and ease of installation. The core insulation is made of a special halogen-free polymer, which minimizes the risk of toxic gas formation in the event of a fire. The cores are black with white numeric printing (according to DIN VDE 0293), which facilitates identification. In addition, the cable has a copper braid screen, which provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC). This braid should be securely connected to the terminals (e.g., cable glands) for optimal EMC protection. The whole is surrounded by an outer jacket made of halogen-free polymer in gray (RAL 7001).

Application and benefits

This cable works perfectly both in fixed installations and in flexible connections (with free movements without mechanical stress). Its resistance to external factors – oils, UV radiation and variable temperatures (from -40°C to +80°C during stationary operation and from -30°C to +80°C during installation) – makes it a universal solution for demanding applications. The outer diameter of the cable is 6.4 mm with a core cross-section of 0.75 mm².
