Control cable shielded RE-2Y(ST)YV – reliable data transmission

This flexible RE-2Y(ST)YV cable is an ideal solution for data transmission in control systems and digital signal transmission. The use of foil shielding provides protection against electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable and reliable operation of the installation. The cable is designed for permanent laying in various conditions, including wet, humid environments and underground.

Construction and application

The cable consists of 12 copper, stranded wires with a cross-section of 0.5 mm². The wires are twisted in pairs, which minimizes the risk of interference. Additionally, the cable has a static screen made of metal foil coated with plastic, which effectively protects against the influence of external electromagnetic fields. The outer jacket made of PVC provides resistance to mechanical damage and atmospheric factors. Therefore, the cable finds application in a wide range of installations:

Parameters and properties

The cable is characterized by a wide range of operating temperatures – from -40°C to +70°C (after installation), which allows it to be used in difficult environmental conditions. The rated voltage is 300V, making it suitable for control applications (not suitable for high-current installations). The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter, which facilitates installation even in tight spaces. The materials used are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting. In addition, the PVC coating is self-extinguishing and flame-retardant, increasing safety in accordance with IEC 60332-1-2. The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 13.1 mm.
