This grey, shielded F-CY-OZ 2x1.5 mm² control and power cable is a solid solution for both professional installers and end users. Construction and parameters for demanding applications
The cable is characterized by a cross-section of 1.5 mm² and a rated voltage of 300/500 V. Made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), both in the insulation of the cores and in the outer coating, it ensures durability and resistance to mechanical damage. The copper cores, stranded (class 5), are twisted in parallel, which increases flexibility and facilitates assembly. The screen in the form of a dense braid minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is crucial in control and data transmission systems. The cores are marked with numbers according to DIN VDE 0293-334, which facilitates identification during installation. The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 7.1 mm – the use of an insulating film allows it to be reduced compared to traditional designs.
Safety and compliance with standards
The cable meets the requirements of EN 13501-6 regarding the classification of reaction to fire (Eca). The permissible ambient temperature during operation is from -40°C to +80°C (without vibration) and from -10°C to +80°C during installation. The cable has passed tests of self-extinguishing and flame-retardant material according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1. The CE mark confirms compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. The insulation resistance is min. 20 MOhm x km, and the core/core test voltage is 4000 V, which guarantees a high level of safety.
