Control and power cable shielded – reliable transmission in demanding conditions

This grey, seven-core F-CY-JZ 7G2.5 mm² cable is a solid solution for data and power transmission in control circuits, computer systems and electronics. Made of high-quality PVC, it meets DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51 and DIN EN 50525-2-51 standards, guaranteeing safety and reliability. The cable is particularly useful in mechanical engineering, where it is exposed to electromagnetic interference.

Construction and properties ensuring optimal operation

The key to the effective operation of this cable is its carefully designed construction. The multi-strand, flexible copper cores (class 5) are insulated with special PVC, and their numbering according to DIN VDE 0293-334 facilitates identification and connection. Parallel twisted cores minimize the risk of interference. In addition, the dense shielding braid provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is crucial in industrial environments. The insulating foil reduces the outer diameter and weight of the cable, making installation and routing easier.

Parameters and scope of application

The cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 300/500 V and an allowable operating temperature of -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and -10°C to +80°C during installation. Its outer diameter is 12.1 mm. Fire reaction class Eca provides a basic level of fire safety. The cable is resistant to oils and chemicals, which increases its durability in harsh operating conditions. The use of a yellow-green protective conductor (from 3 cores) further increases the safety of the installation.

For optimal electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), it is recommended to ensure a wide and continuous contact of the copper braid with the terminals – for example, by using appropriate cable glands. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting.
