Halogen-free fire-resistant cable – safety and reliability of installation

This red HDGs FE180 3G1.5 mm² cable is a solution for electrical installations requiring the highest level of fire safety. The cable is designed to operate in facilities with increased requirements, where maintaining continuous power supply in emergency situations is crucial. It is ideal for emergency lighting, smoke extraction, alarm and signaling systems, as well as other fire protection devices.

The cable is distinguished by its construction that minimizes the risk of fire spreading. In the event of a fire, it does not emit toxic gases or large amounts of smoke, which is crucial for the safety of users and firefighters. It ensures the maintenance of the cable's function – i.e. continuity of data and power transmission – even during the fire and its extinguishing. It has a National Declaration of Conformity and a Certificate of Approval from the Scientific Research Centre for Fire Protection - PIB in Józefów.

Construction and properties

The cable is made of high-quality materials, guaranteeing its durability and reliability. Copper conductors are insulated with special cross-linked silicone rubber, resistant to high temperatures (up to +85°C during operation and +250°C during a short circuit). The cable construction includes three core conductors with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² and a protective conductor. The cable is intended for permanent installation inside buildings.

It is worth paying attention to a few key parameters:

• Operating voltage: 300/500V – standard voltage in most building installations.
• Operating temperature range: from -25°C to +85°C – ensures the possibility of use in various environmental conditions.
• Minimum bending radius: 10 x cable diameter (for shielded versions) or 6 x cable diameter (for unshielded versions) – facilitates installation even in tight spaces.
• Corrosion resistance: emitted gases are very little corrosive, protecting the installation from long-term damage.
• Low smoke density and halogen-free: meets the standards PN-EN 60754-1, PN-EN 60754-2 and IEC 60754-2, ensuring the safety of people and equipment in the event of a fire.

Additionally, the cable meets the flammability requirements of PN-EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1-2 and PN-EN 60332-3-22, IEC 60332-3-22 (cat. A), which confirms its fire resistance. Shielded cables have a common static screen protecting against electromagnetic interference induced by external electric fields.
