MEGAFLEX 500 flexible cable is a versatile solution for applications in machine building, air conditioning systems, ship structures, and renewable energy sources. It is characterized by high flexibility and resistance to external factors, making it ideal for both static and dynamic connections. Construction and properties

The cable is designed for demanding applications. It has 18 copper conductors, twisted in a way that ensures flexibility and resistance to material fatigue. The conductor insulation is made of a special halogen-free polymer, which increases safety in case of fire – it limits the release of toxic gases. Black conductors are clearly marked with white numbers for easy identification, and the protective conductor (in versions with it) is yellow-green. The whole is surrounded by a durable outer jacket made of halogen-free polymer in gray color (RAL 7001).

The cable meets the standards DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11 / DIN EN 50525-3-11 and UL-Style 20939 / UL-Std. 758, which guarantees its compliance with European and American safety standards. Additionally, it is resistant to oils, UV radiation, hydrolysis and ozone – these features translate into long life and reliability in various working environments.

Operating parameters and scope of applications

The MEGAFLEX 500 cable can be used at temperatures from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -30°C to +80°C (flexible). The rated voltage is 500 V, and the test voltage is as high as 3000 V. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 11.9 mm with a conductor cross-section of 0.75 mm². The minimum bending radius is 10x cable diameter for flexible applications and 4x cable diameter for static applications.
