MEGAFLEX 500 flexible cable is a reliable solution for applications in machine building, air conditioning systems, ship structures, and renewable energy sources. This 25-core cable with a cross-section of 0.75 mm² is designed for both fixed and mobile connections, where high flexibility and resistance to external factors are required.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a construction that ensures high durability and safety. Copper strands, made in class 5 (flexible stranded), are insulated with a special halogen-free polymer. Black cores are clearly marked with white numbers, and from the 3rd core there is also a yellow-green protective core. Parallel twisted cores are surrounded by an outer jacket made of halogen-free polymer in gray (RAL 7001). This combination of materials provides resistance to flames, oils, UV radiation and hydrolysis. The cable is metered for convenient dispensing and installation.

In addition, the materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting – making it environmentally friendly and safe to use. The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11 / DIN EN 50525-3-11 and UL-Style 20939 / UL-Std. 758.

Operating parameters and safety

The MEGAFLEX 500 cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +80°C for fixed installation and from -30°C to +80°C during dynamic operation. The rated voltage U is 500 V (UL/CSA: 600 V), and the test voltage is as high as 3000 V. The minimum bending radius is 10x the cable diameter for dynamic applications and 4x the diameter for fixed installations. This makes the cable easy to install even in tight spaces. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 14.1 mm.

The use of halogen-free materials minimizes the risk of toxic gases in the event of a fire, increasing the safety of people near the electrical installation.
