Universal flexible cable for demanding applications

MEGAFLEX 500 2x1 cable is a halogen-free, flexible cable designed for use in machine and equipment construction, air conditioning systems, ship structures, and renewable energy sources. Designed for both fixed installations and movable connections (with occasional movements without tensile stress), it combines safety and reliability. Its construction based on stranded copper conductors ensures good flexibility and long-term operation.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction: stranded copper conductors class 5 (according to DIN VDE 0295) are insulated with a special halogen-free polymer. Black conductors marked with white numbers facilitate identification, and an optional protective conductor (yellow-green) increases safety. The conductors twisted in parallel are surrounded by an outer layer of halogen-free polymer in gray (RAL 7001). Thanks to the use of halogen-free materials, the cable meets high fire safety standards – it limits smoke emission and does not produce toxic gases during combustion.

Additionally, the cable is resistant to oils, fats, UV radiation and weathering. It also has high resistance to hydrolysis and ozone, which guarantees its durability even in harsh operating conditions. The flexibility of the cable allows for easy installation and routing even in tight spaces. The minimum bending radius is 10x the cable diameter for flexible applications and 4x for fixed installations.
