This halogen-free flexible cable MEGAFLEX 500 is a versatile solution for electrical installations where high flexibility and safety are required. This cable, with a cross-section of 0.75 mm² and 34 cores, is perfect for both static and dynamic applications - provided there are no forced movements and tensile stresses. The gray coating ensures good visibility and identification in the installation.

Construction and properties

The cable construction is based on stranded copper conductors, which ensures high flexibility and resistance to material fatigue. The cores are insulated with a special halogen-free polymer, which minimizes the emission of toxic gases and smoke in the event of a fire - important for the safety of people and equipment. The working cores are marked with numbers for easy identification, and in the version with a protective conductor (marked with the symbol "G") there is a green-yellow PE core. The cable is also characterized by high resistance to oils, greases, UV radiation and atmospheric factors. Additionally, it is resistant to hydrolysis and ozone, which guarantees long-term reliability in various operating conditions. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 16.4 mm.

Applications and compliance with standards

The MEGAFLEX 500 cable is used in the construction of machines and equipment, air conditioning systems, ship structures and in renewable energy sources (e.g. wind turbines). It meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11 / DIN EN 50525-3-11 and UL-Style 20939 / UL-Std. 758, which confirms its high quality and safety of use. The cable has passed flammability tests in accordance with IEC 60332-1-2 and DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 standards, ensuring its self-extinguishing properties. Additionally, it is compliant with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). The permissible operating temperature range is -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and -30°C to +80°C (flexible).
