This grey, halogen-free flexible cable MEGAFLEX 500 4G4 is a reliable solution for power installations where safety and flexibility are paramount. Construction and properties

The MEGAFLEX 500 cable is characterized by a solid construction. It consists of four stranded copper cores, which provide high flexibility and resistance to bending. The cores are insulated with a special halogen-free polymer, which minimizes the release of toxic gases and smoke in the event of a fire – important for the safety of people and equipment. A protective core (yellow-green) is present in the cable construction, providing additional safety. The whole is surrounded by an outer jacket made of the same halogen-free polymer, which further increases resistance to abrasion, oils and UV radiation.

The cable meets stringent European standards (DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11 / DIN EN 50525-3-11) and American standards (UL-Style 20939, UL-Std. 758), confirming its high quality and reliability. It is also compliant with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).

User parameters and scope of applications

The MEGAFLEX 500 4G4 cable with a cross-section of 4 mm² and a rated voltage of 500 V is designed to operate at temperatures from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -30°C to +80°C (flexible). Its outer diameter is approximately 11 mm. The minimum bending radius is 10x the cable diameter for flexible operation and 4x the diameter for fixed installation.

Thanks to its flexibility and resistance to external factors, the cable is perfect for applications requiring frequent bends and movements – however, without forced tensile stresses. It is an ideal choice for installers working in machine construction, air conditioning systems or ship structures, where reliability and safety are a priority. In addition, its resistance to oils, UV radiation and hydrolysis makes it a good choice for outdoor installations or those exposed to harsh environmental conditions.
