Construction and properties

The MEGAFLEX 500 cable is designed for durability and safety. It consists of stranded copper conductors insulated with a special halogen-free polymer. The conductors are twisted in parallel, and the whole is surrounded by a protective coating of the same material, providing resistance to abrasion, oils, UV radiation and hydrolysis. The gray color (RAL 7001) makes it easy to identify in the installation. The cable construction meets the standards DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11 / DIN EN 50525-3-11 and UL-Style 20939, UL-Std. 758, which confirms its high quality and compliance with European safety standards.

• Conductors made of class 5 stranded copper provide good flexibility and mechanical strength.

The MEGAFLEX 500 cable with a cross-section of 0.75 mm² and a rated voltage of 500 V is intended for use in the construction of machines and equipment, air conditioning systems, ship structures and renewable energy sources (e.g. wind power plants). Thanks to its flexibility and resistance to external factors, it can be used in both fixed (operating temperature from -40°C to +80°C) and flexible (operating temperature from -30°C to +80°C) installations. The cable is particularly recommended where high fire resistance and minimal emission of toxic gases during a fire are required – it meets the standards IEC 60332-1-2 and DIN VDE 0482-332-3-24. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 6.2 mm, which makes it easier to route in existing installations.
