Flexible installation cable for demanding applications
This grey, halogen-free MEGAFLEX 500 7G2,5 cable is a versatile solution for electrical installations where flexibility, safety and resistance to external factors are important. The cable is designed for a wide range of applications – from the construction of machines and equipment, through air conditioning systems, to ship structures and renewable energy sources. Its construction ensures reliable operation both in fixed installations and with occasional movements without mechanical stress.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction: seven copper conductors with a cross-section of 2.5 mm², each insulated with a special, halogen-free polymer. The conductors are twisted in parallel, and the whole is surrounded by a protective coating of the same material. A protective conductor (yellow-green) is present in the cable construction. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 12.1 mm. The use of halogen-free materials in the insulation and coating ensures safety in the event of a fire – minimizing the emission of toxic gases and smoke. In addition, the cable is resistant to oils, UV radiation and weathering, guaranteeing its long-term operation even in harsh environmental conditions.
Application and compliance with standards
The MEGAFLEX 500 7G2,5 cable meets stringent European standards (DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11 / DIN EN 50525-3-11) and American standards (UL-Style 20939, UL-Std. 758). It has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. Thanks to this, it can be used in a wide range of industrial and commercial applications. The cable is designed to operate at a rated voltage of 500V (UL/CSA 600V) and an ambient temperature of -40°C to +80°C (stationary) or -30°C to +80°C (flexible). The minimum bending radius is 4x or 10x the cable diameter, depending on the method of laying.
