Flexible cable 500V MEGAFLEX 500 8G2,5 grey, halogen-free 13438

Highly flexible cable for demanding applications

This grey, halogen-free MEGAFLEX 500 8G2,5 flexible cable is a solid choice for both professional installers and end-users. Designed to operate at 500V, it stands out with its high flexibility and resistance to external factors. This cable is ideal where reliability and safety are required, as well as minimal smoke emission in the event of a fire.

Construction and properties

The MEGAFLEX 500 cable features a careful construction. Made of multi-wire copper conductors (class 5), it provides good flexibility and easy installation. Each conductor is insulated with a special halogen-free polymer, which increases safety. The conductors are twisted in parallel and marked with numbers for easy identification. The whole is surrounded by a durable outer coating of halogen-free polymer in grey color (RAL 7001). The outer diameter of the cable is 13.2 mm.

The cable meets the strict standards of DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11 / DIN EN 50525-3-11 and UL-Style 20939, UL-Std. 758, which confirms its high quality and safety. It also has a number of certificates confirming its resistance to fire, oils, UV radiation and hydrolysis. It is also resistant to ozone and weathering, making it ideal for outdoor applications.

Applications and benefits

The MEGAFLEX 500 8G2,5 cable finds application in many fields: machine and equipment construction, air conditioning systems, ship structures and in renewable energy sources (e.g. wind power plants). Thanks to its flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage, it works perfectly in places exposed to movement and vibration. The halogen-free coating minimizes the risk of toxic gases forming during a fire – this is particularly important in public and industrial buildings. A wide range of operating temperatures (-40°C to +80°C) allows it to be used in various environmental conditions.
