This halogen-free control and power cable, designated MEGAFLEX 500-C 4G0.75 mm², is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end-users looking for high-quality and safe cabling. The cable is designed for a wide range of applications, from the construction of machines and equipment, through air conditioning systems, ship structures, to renewable energy sources.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction ensuring long-lasting and reliable operation. It consists of four copper conductors with a cross-section of 0.75 mm², which are flexible and stranded (class 5), making installation easier and providing resistance to material fatigue. The conductors are insulated with a special halogen-free polymer and marked with black numbers according to DIN VDE 0293, which facilitates identification. Additionally, the cable has a yellow-green protective conductor (from 3 conductors), providing additional safety. The whole is surrounded by a separating foil and a braided screen made of tinned copper wires (85% coverage), which minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMC). This braid should be connected to the terminals (e.g., cable glands) for optimal EMC protection. The outer jacket is made of a halogen-free polymer in gray color (RAL 7001), which provides resistance to external factors such as oils, UV radiation and mechanical damage.

Additionally, it has certificates confirming its properties related to fire resistance (IEC 60332-1-2), low smoke emission and halogen-free (DIN VDE 0482-754-1, DIN EN 60754-1). The cable is also resistant to hydrolysis (DIN EN 61234-1) and ozone (DIN VDE 0473-811-403/ DIN EN 60811-403).
