This halogen-free MEGAFLEX 500-C control and power cable is a solution for demanding installations where safety, flexibility and protection against interference are key. The cable is designed for a wide range of applications – from the construction of machines and equipment, through air conditioning systems, to ship structures and installations in renewable energy sources. Its construction ensures reliable operation both in fixed circuits and in movable connections, provided that freedom of movement and no excessive mechanical stress are maintained.

Construction and properties

The MEGAFLEX 500-C cable is distinguished by careful workmanship and the use of high-quality materials. It is made of 16 copper conductors with a cross-section of 0.75 mm², which are twisted in parallel to ensure flexibility. Each conductor is insulated with a special halogen-free polymer, which increases safety in the event of a fire – it limits the release of toxic gases and smoke. Black conductors are numbered according to DIN VDE 0293, which facilitates identification and improves comfort during installation. Additionally, the presence of a yellow-green protective conductor (from 3 conductors) provides additional safety. The whole is surrounded by a separating foil and a braided screen made of tinned copper wires (85% coverage), which effectively suppresses electromagnetic interference (EMC). This braid should be connected to the terminals (e.g. cable glands) for optimal shielding effect. The outer jacket is also made of a halogen-free polymer, which further increases the level of safety.

The MEGAFLEX 500-C cable meets stringent European and international standards: DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11 / DIN EN 50525-3-11 and UL-Style 20939 / UL-Std.758. Thanks to this, you can be sure that the product complies with applicable regulations and will ensure safe and reliable operation of the installation. The cable is characterized by a wide range of operating temperatures – from -30°C to +80°C for flexible laying and from -40°C to +80°C for fixed laying. It is also resistant to oils, UV radiation and weathering. Its outer diameter is approximately 11.6 mm. The rated voltage U/U is 300/500V and the test voltage is as high as 3000V, which confirms its high quality and reliability.
