This halogen-free MEGAFLEX 500-C control and power cable is an optimal solution for a wide range of applications, from the construction of machines and devices, through air conditioning systems, to ship structures and installations in renewable energy sources. It ensures safe and efficient power transmission in demanding conditions. The braided screen construction minimizes electromagnetic interference, which is crucial in modern installations.

Construction and properties

The cable is distinguished by its advanced construction, providing high flexibility and durability. Made of multi-wire copper conductor class 5, insulated with a special halogen-free polymer, it guarantees reliable operation even with frequent bending. The conductors are black with white numbers according to DIN VDE 0293, which facilitates identification. Additionally, the cable has a yellow-green protective conductor (from 3 conductors), placed in the outer layer for increased safety. Braided screen made of tinned copper wires (85% coverage) effectively protects against electromagnetic interference. The outer jacket is made of halogen-free polymer in gray color (RAL 7001).

Application and compliance with standards

The MEGAFLEX 500-C cable meets the stringent standards of DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11/ DIN EN 50525-3-11 and UL-Style 20939, UL-Std.758. It is designed for both fixed laying and flexible connections (with free, unforced movements). Thanks to its properties, such as resistance to oils, UV radiation and low smoke emission and halogen-free (LS0H), it finds application in demanding industrial and marine environments. Compliance with EMC standards ensures minimization of interference in installations sensitive to electromagnetic interference – it is worth remembering to ensure bilateral contact of the copper braid with the terminals for optimal shielding effect.
