This shielded halogen-free MEGAFLEX 500-C 25G1,5 mm² cable is a versatile solution for control and power applications. This cable meets a number of standards, including DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11/ DIN EN 50525-3-11 and UL-Style 20939, UL-Std.758, which guarantees its high quality and compliance with applicable standards.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction, ensuring long-lasting and reliable operation. Made of 25 copper conductors with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², each of them is stranded and flexible (class 5), which facilitates assembly and ensures resistance to material fatigue. The conductors are insulated with a special halogen-free polymer and marked with black digits according to DIN VDE 0293, which facilitates identification. Additionally, the presence of a yellow-green protective conductor (from 3 conductors) increases safety. A screen in the form of a braid of tinned copper wires provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC), minimizing the risk of malfunction of devices. This braid should be connected to the terminals (e.g. cable glands) on both sides for optimal EMC protection. The whole is surrounded by a gray (RAL 7001) outer coating made of a halogen-free polymer, which provides resistance to weather conditions, oils and UV radiation.
