Shielded control and power cable – reliability and safety in every application

This halogen-free MEGAFLEX 500-C 4G4 mm² control and power cable is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end-users who expect high quality and reliability. The cable is designed for use in a wide range of applications, from the construction of machines and equipment, through air conditioning systems, to the construction of ships and renewable energy installations. It ensures safe and efficient power transmission in demanding conditions.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction, using stranded copper conductors (class 5 – flexible stranded) with insulation made of a special halogen-free polymer. The conductors are black with white number printing, which facilitates identification during installation. Four working conductors with a cross-section of 4 mm² are surrounded by a separating foil and a braided screen made of tinned copper wires (85% coverage), which provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC). The whole is covered with a durable outer coating made of halogen-free polymer in gray color (RAL 7001). Thanks to this, the cable is resistant to oils, UV radiation, ozone and atmospheric factors.

The MEGAFLEX 500-C cable is perfect for both fixed installations and applications requiring flexibility and movement, provided there are no forced movements or tensile stresses. Its halogen-free construction ensures safety in the event of a fire – limits the release of toxic gases and smoke (compliant with IEC 60332-1-2 and DIN VDE 0482-754-1 standards). A wide range of operating temperatures (-40°C to +80°C) allows its use in difficult environmental conditions. The cable complies with DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11 / DIN EN 50525-3-11 and UL-Style 20939 / UL-Std.758 standards, which confirms its high quality and safety of use. Thanks to the shielding, it ensures electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and the optimal contact of the copper braid with the terminals further improves this property. The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 11.5 mm.
