This shielded MEGAFLEX 500-C 5G0.75 halogen-free cable is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end-users who expect high quality and safety. The cable is designed for use in the construction of machines and equipment, air conditioning systems, ship structures, and renewable energy sources. Its construction provides flexibility and resistance to harsh environmental conditions.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction, based on five copper conductors with a cross-section of 0.75 mm². These conductors are twisted in parallel, which increases the cable's flexibility. The conductor insulation is made of a halogen-free polymer, which ensures safety in the event of a fire – it limits the release of toxic gases. Additionally, the cable has a copper braid screen, which minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMC), ensuring stable signal transmission. This braid should be connected to the terminals (e.g., cable glands) on both sides for optimal EMC protection.

The cable meets the stringent standards of DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11 / DIN EN 50525-3-11 and UL-Style 20939 and UL-Std.758, which confirms its high quality and compliance with European and American safety standards. It is resistant to oils, UV radiation, and weathering. This allows it to be used both indoors and outdoors.

Application and user parameters

The MEGAFLEX 500-C cable is designed for fixed laying and for movable connections (with free movement without mechanical load). It can operate in a wide temperature range: from -40°C to +80°C after installation and from -30°C to +80°C during operation. The rated voltage is 500 V (UL/CSA 600 V), and the approximate outer diameter is 7.4 mm. The conductors are marked with numbers according to DIN VDE 0293 for easy identification during installation. The protective conductor is yellow-green (from 3 conductors).
