Construction and properties\

The cable is characterized by a solid construction designed for long-term operation. Made of stranded copper conductors, meeting the standards DIN VDE 0295 cl.5, BS 6360 cl.5 and IEC 60228 cl.5, it provides excellent conductivity and flexibility. The core insulation is made of a special halogen-free polymer, which increases safety in case of fire – it limits the release of toxic gases and smoke (compliance with IEC 60332-1-2 and DIN VDE 0482-754-1 standards). Black cores are numbered according to DIN VDE 0293, which facilitates identification during installation. The yellow-green protective conductor is placed on the outer layer of the cable (from 3 cores). A braid screen made of tinned copper wires (85% coverage) provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC), minimizing the risk of problems with the operation of connected devices. The screen braid should be connected to the terminals (e.g. cable glands) on both sides for optimal EMC protection.

Application and technical parameters\

The MEGAFLEX 500-C cable is perfect for applications requiring flexibility and resistance to harsh environmental conditions. It can be used for both fixed installations and flexible connections (with free, unforced movements). The permissible operating temperature range is from -40°C to +80°C for fixed laying and from -30°C to +80°C during flexible operation. The cable has a rated voltage of U 500 V and is compliant with DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11/ DIN EN 50525-3-11 and UL-Style 20939, UL-Std.758 standards. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 7.8 mm with a core cross-section of 1 mm². Additionally, it is resistant to oils, UV radiation and has self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties (tests according to DIN VDE 0482-332-3-24BS 4066 part 3).
