This halogen-free MEGAFLEX 500-C 5G2.5 control and power cable is an optimal solution for both professional installers and end-users where safety, durability and electromagnetic compatibility are key. The cable is designed for use in the construction of machines and equipment, air conditioning systems, ship structures and renewable energy sources, such as wind turbines. It meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11/ DIN EN 50525-3-11 and UL-Style 20939, UL-Std.758.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction ensuring long-term and reliable operation. It is made of copper stranded wires (class 5 – multi-wire flexible), insulated with a special halogen-free polymer. The wires are numbered for easy identification during installation. A braided screen made of tinned copper wires (85% coverage) provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC). The outer jacket is made of halogen-free polymer in gray (RAL 7001), which further increases safety in case of fire. The cable is metered for convenient dispensing during assembly.
