This shielded MEGAFLEX 500-C halogen-free cable is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end-users looking for a reliable and safe solution in electrical installations. It provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference thanks to the copper braid screen.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction, based on multi-wire copper conductors (class 5), which gives it high flexibility and resistance to bending. The core insulation is made of a special halogen-free polymer, which guarantees safety in the event of a fire – it limits the release of toxic gases and smoke. Black cores are numbered according to DIN VDE 0293, which facilitates identification and connection. In addition, the cable has a yellow-green protective conductor (from 3 cores), providing additional safety. The shielding braid is made of tinned copper wires covered in 85%, which ensures high efficiency in suppressing electromagnetic interference. The whole is surrounded by an outer jacket made of halogen-free polymer in gray (RAL 7001).

Compliance with IEC 60332-1-2 and DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 guarantees its flame retardancy and self-extinguishing properties.
