This shielded halogen-free MEGAFLEX 500-C 7G0.75 mm² cable is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end customers looking for a high-quality control and power cable. It is designed for a wide range of applications, from the construction of machines and equipment, through air conditioning systems, to ship structures and renewable energy sources. Its construction ensures not only effective energy transmission but also a high level of safety thanks to the use of halogen-free materials.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction that guarantees long-lasting and reliable operation. It consists of seven copper conductors with a cross-section of 0.75 mm², which are flexible and easy to process. These conductors are insulated with a special halogen-free polymer, which minimizes the risk of toxic gases in the event of a fire. Black conductors are numbered according to DIN VDE 0293, which facilitates identification and connection. In addition, the presence of a yellow-green protective conductor (from 3 conductors) increases safety. A braided screen made of tinned copper wires (85% coverage) provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is particularly important in industrial applications and automation. This braid should have a wide, bilateral contact with the terminals (e.g., cable glands) for optimal EMC effectiveness.

Application and compliance with standards

The MEGAFLEX 500-C cable meets stringent European and international standards: DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11/ DIN EN 50525-3-11 and UL-Style 20939, UL-Std.758. It is intended for fixed laying and for movable connections (with free, unforced movements). The permissible ambient temperature during operation is from -40°C to +80°C (fixed laying) and from -30°C to +80°C (installation). The cable is resistant to oils, UV radiation and has self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties. It is also compliant with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 8.6 mm.
