This shielded halogen-free MEGAFLEX 500-C 7G1,5 mm² cable is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end-users who expect high quality and safety. The cable is designed for use in the construction of machines and equipment, air conditioning systems, ship structures, and renewable energy sources. Its construction ensures reliable operation in various conditions, and the halogen-free coating minimizes the risk of toxic gas formation in the event of a fire.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a careful construction using high-quality materials. Seven copper strands with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², twisted in parallel, provide flexibility and ease of installation. The strands are insulated with a special halogen-free polymer and marked with black numbers according to DIN VDE 0293. Additionally, the cable has a yellow-green protective conductor (from 3 strands) placed in the outer layer. A braid screen made of tinned copper wires (85% coverage) effectively protects against electromagnetic interference (EMC). The whole is surrounded by a durable outer coating made of a special halogen-free polymer in gray (RAL 7001).

Application and benefits

The MEGAFLEX 500-C cable is designed for fixed laying and for movable connections (with free movements without tensile stress). It meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11/ DIN EN 50525-3-11 and UL-Style 20939, UL-Std.758, which guarantees its compliance with European and American safety standards. Thanks to its resistance to UV radiation, oils, and weather factors, it can be used both indoors and outdoors. The flexible construction makes it easy to route cables even in tight spaces. Additionally, the cable is easy to identify thanks to the wire numbering and provides electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), which is particularly important in modern electrical installations. To optimize EMC, it is recommended to have a two-sided contact of the copper braid with cable gland clamps.
