This shielded halogen-free MEGAFLEX 500-C 8G1,5 mm² cable is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end-users who value safety and durability. Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction, using flexible stranded copper conductors (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295). These conductors are insulated with a special halogen-free polymer, which minimizes the risk of toxic gas formation in the event of a fire. Black conductors are numbered according to DIN VDE 0293-334 for easy identification. Additionally, the presence of a yellow-green protective conductor (from 3 conductors) increases the level of safety. A braided screen made of tinned copper wires (85% coverage) provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is crucial in modern electrical installations. The whole is surrounded by a durable outer jacket made of a special halogen-free polymer in gray color (RAL 7001).
Application and compliance with standards
The MEGAFLEX 500-C cable meets stringent European and international standards: DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11 / DIN EN 50525-3-11 and UL-Style 20939 / UL-Std.758. It is designed for both fixed laying and flexible connections (with free, unforced movements). Thanks to its properties, it is resistant to oils, UV radiation and has high flame and abrasion resistance. The cable is also resistant to hydrolysis and ozone, guaranteeing long-lasting and reliable operation in harsh environmental conditions. The permissible operating temperature range is from -30°C to +80°C for flexible use and from -40°C to +80°C for stationary installations. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 11.1 mm with a conductor cross-section of 1.5 mm².
