Control cable for use in energy chains

This flexible, shielded cable designed for chain systems is the ideal solution wherever high resistance to electromagnetic interference and frequent bending is required. It is suitable for robotics, moving parts of machines, BUS systems and applications with high mechanical stress. The cable's construction based on modern technology ensures a long service life and reliable operation even in harsh industrial conditions.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a precise construction that guarantees its unique properties:

• Conductors: copper, un-tinned, stranded (class 6), twisted in pairs for better noise reduction.
• Conductor insulation: polypropylene (PP) – resistant to oils and chemicals.
• Screen: braided tinned copper wires (85% coverage) – provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference.
• Outer jacket: polyurethane (TMPU) – exceptionally resistant to abrasion, tearing, oils and chemicals. Also provides good sliding properties, which is important in dynamic applications.
• Jacket color: gray (RAL 7001).
• Conductor cross-section: 0.75 mm².
• Number of conductors: 16 (8 pairs).
• Rated voltage: 350 V.

Thanks to the materials used, the cable is resistant to extreme temperatures (from -40°C to +70°C) and radiation. It does not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.

Applications and standards

This cable is primarily used in:

• Applications requiring high flexibility and mechanical resistance.

It meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0812 and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. The use of a double-sided connection of the shielding braid to the terminals (e.g. cable glands) further improves electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). The minimum bending radius for the cable is 7.5 x cable diameter for conductors with a cross-section of 0.25 mm² and 10 x cable diameter for conductors with a cross-section of 0.5-1 mm².
