Highly durable cable resistant to high temperatures – reliability and safety of installation
This black, four-core HELUTHERM® 145 MULTI 4G1,5 mm² cable is an advanced solution for installations requiring high temperature resistance and fire safety. Designed for a wide range of applications – from lighting fixture wiring to electrical machines and outdoor installations – it ensures reliable operation even in extreme conditions. Wire identification according to DIN VDE 0293-308 simplifies installation and servicing.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by an advanced construction that guarantees its unique properties. Made of flexible, multi-strand copper conductors (class 5), insulated with a halogen-free polyolefin copolymer, it provides flexibility and durability of connections. The cores are twisted in parallel, and the whole is surrounded by a separating foil and an outer jacket made of cross-linked and halogen-free polyolefin copolymer. This construction provides not only excellent electrical parameters but also increased resistance to mechanical damage, moisture, ozone and UV radiation. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 9.1 mm.
Applications and benefits
The HELUTHERM® 145 MULTI cable finds application in many areas:
Wiring of lighting fixtures: Safety in the event of a failure or fire is crucial in such installations.
Heating devices: High temperature resistance (up to +145°C) allows the cable to be used in devices generating heat.
Electrical machines (thermal class B): Provides reliable power supply and control in demanding industrial conditions.
Distribution boards: Resistance to environmental and mechanical conditions guarantees long-term operation in electrical distribution boards.
Outdoor installations: Resistance to UV radiation, ozone and moisture enables the use of the cable in outdoor installations, such as street lighting.
Machine and installation construction: The versatility of the cable makes it ideal for use in various industries.
In the event of a fire, the cable does not spread flames or release toxic gases and fumes, which significantly increases the safety of people and property. Additionally, the high temperature load capacity may allow the use of cables with a smaller cross-section – which can potentially reduce installation costs (this should be consulted with the project). The cable meets the IEC 60332-1-2 standard regarding fire behavior and is compliant with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). The rated voltage U is 500V.
